I recently spent a fun morning with the lovely Takahashi family, who have been in San Francisco for about three years. As they will soon be returning to Japan, Mama Chieko requested a photo session around their home at UCSF and on Gene Friend Way, where their girls spent many hours walking, climbing, and jumping, and where their family have had many picnics. Here are a few favorites of their sweet family. To Cheiko and family, wishing you all the best as you return to Tokyo…we will miss you!
Nao and Mike were married at the beautiful Rosewood Sand Hill hotel in Menlo Park. Their unique wedding was marked by elements of Japanese language and culture throughout the day. At the ceremony, Nao read her vows in English and Mike read his in Japanese. Then, during the music-filled reception, wedding guests were not only treated to a moving violin performance but were also surprised later that night with an energizing Taiko drumming performance. The performance included an open drumming session where guests enthusiastically joined in the fun. Congratulations, Nao and Mike, and thank you for sharing your day with me!
Patricia and Alex’s gorgeous city wedding took place at the luxurious Julia Morgan Ballroom. I was struck first by the exquisite details of the day, from Patricia’s elegant gown to the sumptuous ballroom decor. But what really made an impression was the joy of Patricia and Alex’s friends and especially their families. Congrats and thank you for sharing your beautiful celebration with me, Patricia and Alex!
A special thanks to my second photographer Beth McMullen.
Christina and Andrew tied the knot at FAZ Restaurant at the Sheraton Sunnyvale on a gorgeous fall day. The day was relaxed and celebrated among a joyful gathering of friends and family. The accomplished couple both come from small families, but I was struck by how far their circle of loved ones extended. They are clearly a well-loved couple. Congratulations, Christina & Andrew, and thank you for sharing your beautiful day with me!
It was one of those perfect mornings in San Francisco as days of rain gave way to brilliantly sunny skies. I was so excited to photograph Nao and Mike, such a lovely and relaxed couple, at one of my favorite locations, Fort Point, as well as in my own neighborhood of Potrero Hill. Thanks for a fun morning of photo-making, Nao and Mike! Looking forward to photographing you again on your wedding day at the Rosewood Sand Hill!
